A Week In the Life of Me, Part 1

You often see bloggers do “a day in my life” and I’m always intrigued reading these because I love to see how others live. I decided that I was going to do the same type of thing, but instead decided that I’m going to do a week in the life of me because so often it isn’t one day that makes up my crazy schedule or busy life, or exhausts me…it’s the week all smushed together! So, enjoy!!moments

Sunday – Sunday mornings are usually pretty casual and laid back around our home.  This is also when I get lots of chores done. Today it’s coffee & breakfast with T, then chores (laundry, unloading and reloading the dishwasher, prepping fruits, veggies, and lunches for the week).  Then, doing some blogging of course and working on Facebook posts for some of the businesses I work with over on Social Impact.  Lunch came next followed by a lot of working outside.  Supper with R, a relaxing bath, and then chilling until bedtime (it never comes early enough on the weekends when we work outside so much).

Monday – the alarm goes off at 5:01 and I get up.  I get dressed and head out for my morning run and then come back and grab Nike for a quick walk before finishing up with some free weights for my upperbody.  Next is shower and getting ready for work.  By about 7:30, I’m out the door to work.  My commute is about 15-20 minutes depending on school traffic.  I work from 8AM-5PM every day.  Well, that’s my normal scheduled hours at least.  I pack my lunch so I can eat at the office during the noon hour (the office is closed) and as my norm during nice weather, as soon as the office is closed, I change clothes and head out on a lunch time walk).  I return to the office, change, freshen up, and eat my lunch quick before being back to work.  Today we have a track meet for R a little over an hour away, so I’m off work early to go back to our hometown and pick up my mom to head down (T is working and won’t make it).  Once at the track meet, I’m a fence stander.  This means I stand against the fence near the finish to take pictures, cheer R on, and take times and splits.  I’m your typical crazy track mom. Home finally by 8:45PM (supper was Subway on the go) and fall into bed by 9:30!

Tuesday – alarm goes off again at 5:01 and today I’m up and headed out the door to POUND class.  Once back from that, it’s the same story as Monday, different verse…shower, prepped for work and out the door to work.  In fact, my day to day 5AM-5PM typically doesn’t vary too much.  My day is the same as yesterday…work, lunch-time walk, lunch, work.  Again today we have a track meet for R, so I’m off early again to head to that.  Once driving an hour again, I assume my fence spot! 😉  Supper is on the way home for T and I, catch up on a few things at home and fall into bed!

Wednesday – 5:01, and I’m up and off on my run (although after two nights of track meets and getting home late, I’m a bit more slugish than earlier in the week, but there I go!).  I get ready and head to work again.  Today I’m actually at work the entire 9 hours since there is no track meet.  I leave work at 5 and head back to my hometown.  Since it’s Wednesday the boys are with us and I get to catch up with both of them.  Home to cook supper, M went to church group with a friend, so it’s just T, R, and I…spaghetti for supper and catching up with R.  I love the nights they are with us so we get to catch up.  Some chores and snacks when M gets home and we all fall into bed again!

Stay tuned for a week from now and see what the end of this next week’s life brings for me!
