Enchanted Acres located near Sheffield, Iowa is a great place to spend a day in the fall! Kids, adults, and everyone in between will find something enjoyable at this pumpkin patch & hobby farm!
I’ve been to Enchanted Acres several times due to my love for Shannon, her pumpkin patch, and all the goodies there, but it was great to be back and know that the fall season is upon us.
The Big Red Barn
The center of Enchanted Acres is Shannon’s Big Red Barn. It is home to the Market Place Café, a shop full of homemade jams & other treats plus an abundance of fall & Halloween Décor. Personally, I’d pick up a jar of the strawberry jam. Shannon’s mom makes all the homemade jams and they are top notch! Grab a delicious sandwich, a baked treat, or their signature hot apple cider. Inside the big red barn, you can also pick up smores kits to make your own treats over the fire nearby!

The Animals
Not only will you find several farm cats roaming the property, you’ll see some chickens, hens, and goats! Nibbles and several other goats are quite tame and love to be fed. Buy bags of goat feed from the Market and enjoy this unique experience.
FREE Activities
One of the several free activities, included in your gate admission, are hayrides! Jump on their hay rack and enjoy a trip around the patch. The kiddos can also play on her unique tractor shaped playground structure. The corn pit will enthrall your kiddos. You can grab lots of photo ops of the kiddos with the numerous cut-outs.
Picking Pumpkins
Shannon and the crew at Enchanted Acres offer 2 different pumpkin picking experiences. You can either roam the grounds and pick your own treasures or select pumpkins from the pallets of picked and washed ones. Don’t worry, she also offers gourds, squash, corn stalks, mums, and more!
Shannon and the staff at Enchanted Acres have thought of every detail from Books in the Barn (story time, a craft and snack) for the little ones to scheduled fall crafts every weekend for the adults and older kids.

I miss Nibbles. I saw your post about Shannon’s strawberry jam and smiled. We ate it so quickly last year.
That stuff is so good! And don’t worry, the kids all took good care of Nibbles and fed her lots!
